I’m Nóra Puskás – Puskás Nóra in Hungarian – a photographer. In 2024 I discovered how to become my own travel companion.
I set off alone: travelling light, without a detailed itinerary, open to whatever the landscape and the people have to offer. On my journey through Peru I crossed the Salkantay Pass at 4,630 metres in rain and snowfall, followed the trails of the Andes with an eight-kilogram backpack, ventured into the Amazon rainforest and reached small villages that rarely see tourists.
In my photographs, solitude is not loneliness but freedom: attention to places, to light and to encounters. The PERU, SOLO exhibition presents the images from this journey.
If one of my photographs speaks to you, you can take it home as a print – and support my next journey.
